MANILA - Before he found his calling as a jester entertaining crowds before cameras started rolling, "Your Face Sounds Familiar" celebrity contestant Eric Nicolas was an animator.
Nicolas, who was discovered by host Willie Revillame, worked on several Japanese shows aired in the country in the 1990s. These shows included seminal favorites such as "Slam Dunk," "Sailor Moon," and "Dragon Ball Z."
In an interview on "Aquino & Abunda Tonight," Nicolas recalled how he transitioned from his humble beginnings to becoming part of one of the most watched weekend shows in the country.
And that preparation seemed to have paid off. Nicolas won the first week of the competition by doing a spot on impersonation of Revillame, wooing the studio audience with his cover of "Ikaw Na Nga."
But Nicolas refuses to let the early win get to his head. - From abs-cbnnews.com
